Vehicles, Customization & Loot
- 4 Cart Tiers & Unique Models: Added Standard, Swift, Sturdy, and Prime — each featuring brand-new custom 3D models, unique stats, and uncraftable tier cores found as rare loot in structure chests.
- In-World Customization: Replaced 16 separate colored cart items with dynamic in-world dyeing (all 16 dyes) and sponge paint stripping.
- Survival Economy: Standardized fuel strictly to pure Coal (+15 FU) and repairs to Iron Ingots (+15 HP), both with anti-waste protection.
Physics, Driving & Collisions
- Smooth Movement & Dynamics: Overhauled movement physics for butter-smooth driving, natural slope climbing, and realistic airborne momentum and knockback impulses.
- Transmission & Braking: Added reverse gear with tier-based speeds, smooth shifting transitions, and dedicated braking with dynamic squeal audio.
- Complete Collision Overhaul: Added brand-new cart-to-cart (C2C) collisions, universal crash consequences (safe bumps vs high-speed crashes with fuel leaks and stun), and expanded entity interactions (mobs, primed TNT, crystals, armor stands).
- Environmental Hazards: Added foliage drag through leaves, shallow water resistance, deep water engine flooding/sinking, and fire/lava damage.
Visuals, Audio & Polish
- Audio & Animations: Overhauled sound logic with tier-specific engine hums, shift clicks, and water sputters; added client-synced steering animations, reverse steering fixes, and improved particle effects.
- HUD & Optimization: Enhanced the in-ride dashboard to blend with tiered stats, optimized overall mod performance, and smoothed out multiplayer/Replay mod syncing.
- Branding & Documentation: Renamed mod display name to Terracarts, updated
fabric.mod.json, refreshedLICENSE.md, and completely rewroteREADME.md.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
