Reverie 0.1.1 | Your First Dreams
The Reverie introduces a protected creative dreamscape connected directly to your survival world. Enter through a Dreamweaver’s Bed, build and experiment freely, then awaken with your original survival inventory safely restored.
Dreamweaver’s Bed
- Added the Dreamweaver’s Bed and the coordinate-aligned Reverie dimension.
- Beds can be crafted using any vanilla bed color.
- Added a rare chance of finding a Dreamweaver’s Bed in Ancient City loot.
- Crafted beds permanently bind to their crafter.
- Beds obtained through loot or Creative begin unbound and bind to their first placer.
- Bed ownership survives breaking, pickup, storage, transportation, and replacement.
- Bound ownership is displayed in the item tooltip.
- Axes remain the preferred tool for faster mining.
- Breaking an occupied bed requires a second deliberate attempt after a warning.
- Awakening checks for safe standing room beside the bed.
- Missing or obstructed beds return players to their valid respawn point, respawn anchor, or world spawn.
Ownership and Shared Beds
- Bed owners always retain a reserved place in their own bed.
- Owners never pay the configurable entry item guest entry cost.
- Guests cannot enter until the bed owner enters first.
- Guests must hold the configurable entry item when using another player’s bed. By default it is an Amethyst Shard.
- Creative players bypass the guest entry cost and sleeping delay.
- The maximum number of players sharing one bed is configurable.
- Beds shared by multiple players use the same Reverie arrival bed.
- Temporary arrival beds remain until the final linked dreamer leaves.
- Temporary beds do not drop items when removed automatically.
- Occupied beds display a pearled shimmer and particle effect.
- Sneak-using a bed shows its owner, current dreamers, occupancy, and capacity.
- If the owner awakens or disconnects, guests receive a visible 60-second countdown.
- Guests awaken automatically unless the owner returns to the same dream session.
- Offline owners do not allow new guests to enter.
Dream Anchors and Inventories
- Dreamweaver’s Beds inside the Reverie can be converted into permanent Dream Anchors.
- Dream Anchors connect nearby Overworld beds across their configured region.
- Anchored beds receive a pearled visual shimmer.
- Added persistent Dream Inventories for anchored building locations.
- Different anchored regions can maintain separate Creative inventories.
- Guests using another player’s bed do not receive persistent Dream Inventory access.
- Added support for Curios and Accessories inventories, including cosmetic slots.
- Added transactional inventory backups and administrative recovery tools to protect player equipment.
Reverie Protection
- Players enter the Reverie in Creative mode while their survival state is stored safely.
- Survival inventories, armor, effects, experience, and supported accessory slots are restored when awakening.
- Advancements and experience gain are disabled inside the Reverie.
- Players cannot escape through portals or unintended dimension travel.
- Players cannot take damage inside the Reverie.
- Explosions do not destroy blocks.
- Restricted administrative blocks and items are blocked.
- Blocked items cannot be equipped through armor, Curios, or Accessories slots.
- Restricted placements are rejected with particles and item-specific feedback.
- Added protection against restricted blocks introduced through schematics, automated builders, and other placement methods.
- Added an optional incremental purge for illegal blocks and items in loaded Reverie chunks.
- Added administrative commands for manually forcing a purge.
- Chunk loaders and other restricted utility blocks can be blocked through the configurable deny list.
Figment Cage
- Added the Figment Cage for controlled creature spawning inside the Reverie.
- The cage supports five visual states: empty plus four charge levels.
- Each charge increases its chunk-based creature range.
- Cage light output increases with its charge level.
- Holding a cage or spawn egg reveals the cage’s active boundaries.
- Creatures outside an authorized cage region are rejected with particles and sound.
- Creatures leaving their cage region disappear with a visual and audio effect.
- Creature population limits and maximum cage range are configurable.
- Decorative entities such as paintings, item frames, and armor stands do not require a cage.
- All mobs are allowed by default except the Ender Dragon and Wither.
- Vanilla mob spawners are supported inside active cage regions.
- Hostile spawners still require an appropriately dark environment.
- Sun-sensitive mobs do not burn from daylight inside the Reverie.
- Ordinary fire, lava, burning projectiles, and fire-based attacks still work.
Lighting and Environment
- Added an independent Reverie lighting clock that does not alter Overworld time.
- Using a Clock cycles through key lighting times.
- Sneak-using a Clock advances the lighting by 1,000 ticks for precise adjustment.
- Clock use has a two-second cooldown.
- Reverie lighting can return automatically to noon after a configurable timeout.
- Lighting also returns to noon when the controlling player leaves the Reverie.
- Noon preserves Reverie’s original bright, pearly blank-canvas appearance.
- Other times provide natural darkness for testing build lighting and mob farms.
Progression and Feedback
- Added advancements for obtaining a Dreamweaver’s Bed, entering the Reverie, and charging a Figment Cage.
- Added configurable dream-duration warnings.
- Players who remain too long can receive a configurable sluggishness effect after awakening.
- Added clear action-bar feedback for bed access, cage range, blocked content, lighting changes, and guest countdowns.
- Added configuration validation and automatic correction of invalid values.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
