UI Texture and Rendering Update
This update focuses on the visual overhaul of the observation and Tide Spin screens, adding new GUI texture assets, improving fixed-scale rendering, and fixing several readability and layout issues.
Added
- Added a new batch of GUI texture assets, including card textures, buttons, level chips, reveal panels, Tide Spin backgrounds, spin slot frames, moon phase frames, settlement panels, and related UI elements.
- Added and updated texture assets for the observation reveal screen, including draw panels, reel elements, and result panels.
- Added and updated texture assets for the Tide Spin screen, including spin backgrounds, orb wheel elements, slot frames, and related interface components.
Changed
- Refactored part of the
TidalScreenrendering logic, mainly around texture-based UI rendering, fixed scaling, reveal screen layout, and Tide Spin screen sizing. - Adjusted the reveal animation and Tide Spin interface to use fixed screen proportions across different GUI scales, reducing unwanted stretching on different window sizes.
- Updated the level indicator blocks from simple solid-color squares to decorated level chips.
- Adjusted the default reward pool configuration in
tidal_pools.json5, including changes to some rewards and values. - Continued replacing code-drawn UI elements with texture-based assets for a cleaner and more consistent interface.
Fixed
- Fixed white-card item names being too light and difficult to read against the background.
- Fixed an extra black bar appearing behind the bottom Observe All area.
- Fixed several remaining black-block artifacts around some buttons, cards, and the bottom bar.
- Fixed several localization issues where Chinese text could still appear in English environments.
Known Issues
- Some texture clipping or black-block artifacts may still appear in certain UI layouts and will continue to be improved in later updates.
- Some English localization entries may still be incomplete.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
