New
Ball lightning: spawns under storms/near lightning strikes; rolls on rails; attracted to metal; sparks (stronger vs iron armor); can ignite, sometimes explodes and breaks glass. Settings: Ball Lightning, Ball Lightning Rate, Ball Lightning Blasts. Storms Come To You (off by default): supercells/tornadoes head toward player; tornado passes nearby at least once. Pass Distance = side offset. SHARPpy-style soundings: diagram, hodograph, CAPE, CIN, SRH, STP, SCP, other indices, hazard type. TORNADO7 MODEL panel shows actual in-game result for that air. Forecast up to +12 h. Weather balloon rises 20–26 km, drifts with wind. Open data: Shift + RMB with balloon, laptop Soundings app, or /t7m sounding [forecast].
Fixed
Vehicles no longer damaged just by driving downhill. Fall damage unchanged, now also applies to homemade vehicles. Fixed “beyond world border” death in space/on planets on servers with world border. /t7m aimtoplayer: supercell no longer detaches from tornado or disappears. Clear-sky lightning (previously came from small cumulus). Infinite loading on weak PCs: after 30 s press Space to play; after 4 min game starts itself. Transformer flash rendered in wrong place.
Faster
Stormy sky: expensive cloud renderer only where storm can be on screen. Storms without squalls/funnels use lightweight renderer; rain under storm cheaper. Adaptive quality maintains target FPS (default 60, Adaptive Target). First enables mode where clouds are calculated for only 1/8 of pixels per frame. Laptop 10–30x lighter (radar, Soundings, desktop); sounding screen 2x lighter. Tablet, aircraft UI, assistant hints also cheaper
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
