Colour accuracy and performance release. Every fix below applies at any blend width, including the vanilla range.
- Fixed an issue where grass, foliage and water could take the colour of the wrong biome while walking. Columns in chunks the server had not delivered yet were read as plains, and those values then travelled inward with the blend window. Most noticeable near biome borders, and it could persist until the area was reloaded.
- Fixed an issue where the blend sampled biomes at the player's eye level instead of at the ground, so looking down into a valley from a mountain — or up at a peak — shifted the colours. Each column is now sampled at its own terrain height, which also means vertical movement no longer disturbs the blend.
- Fixed an issue where chunks could render unblended under Sodium. The blend data could be read by Sodium's chunk build workers while it was being rebuilt, and the unblended colour was then baked into that chunk until something forced it to rebuild.
- Fixed an issue where corrected colours never reached the screen. When newly arrived chunks changed the blend, nothing informed the renderer, so a chunk built from incomplete data kept its wrong tint indefinitely.
- Blend updates are now roughly 3.7 times faster: each column's terrain height and biome are resolved once instead of once per colour type.
- The 15x15 step is now labelled "(Vanilla Maximum)" instead of "(Maximum)", which no longer applied with the slider reaching 31x31.
Ultimate Biome Blend is now also available for Minecraft 1.21.11, 1.21.1, 1.20.6 and 1.20.1.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
