Compatibility Port

This release ports Ultimate Companion Mod to Minecraft 1.21.6 with NeoForge.

No new gameplay features, content, or mechanics were added in this version. The goal of this release is to preserve the existing mod experience while updating compatibility for Minecraft 1.21.6.

Changes

  • Ported the mod to NeoForge 1.21.6.
  • Updated client rendering compatibility for Minecraft 1.21.6's deferred GUI renderer.
  • Fixed Companion Skin screen rendering:
    • 2D skin avatar rendering
    • 3D villager skin preview rendering
    • Horizontal and vertical preview rotation
    • Drag smoothing, vertical rotation limits, and automatic return to the default pose
  • Fixed Companion Inventory rendering when opened in-world:
    • Inventory panels
    • Armor slots
    • Companion preview model
    • Combat toggle button icon
    • GUI layering and texture rendering
  • Updated custom skin loading compatibility.
  • Preserved bundled resource-pack installation behavior.
  • Verified normal in-game functionality and successfully built the release JAR.

Notes

This is a compatibility-focused release for Minecraft 1.21.6.

Existing Companion Mod features are preserved. No new gameplay content has been added.
