Vanilla Degus v2.0.0 Release Notes
New Behaviors
- Degus now carry food, paper, and items pilfered from nearby mobs and bury them in sand, red sand, or gravel. They remember and reuse the stash sites they dig.
- Sand bathing restores the new cleanliness stat. Cleanliness affects how quickly happiness increases near an owner and the conditions for triggering Degu's Grace.
- Hungry wild and tamed degus seek out and eat dropped food. Tamed degus also sit and eat food given to them by players. If interrupted while eating, they drop the food they are holding.
- Degus can now beg for food and crouch low. When a tamed degu takes damage, its sit command is cleared so it can flee.
Excavated Blocks and Stashes
- Added Excavated Sand, Excavated Red Sand, and Excavated Gravel. When burying items, degus replace sand, red sand, or gravel with the corresponding excavated block.
- Each block has four storage slots.
- Silk Touch drops the excavated block itself. Stored items are released when the block is broken.
Animations and Food
- Expanded adult and baby animations, including sand bathing, digging, grooming, eating, and begging, along with held items near the mouth and dedicated particles.
- Added reactions to poisonous potatoes and chorus fruit.
- Adjusted the particles displayed when eating grass.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
