Changes
Added
- Highlight unavailable blocks: blocks and items added after the target version are shown with a colored overlay in the creative inventory and hotbar instead of being hidden.
- World outline highlight: unavailable blocks near you show a colored silhouette outline in the world, not just when looked at.
- Outlines merge correctly across clusters: adjacent unavailable blocks share edges instead of each drawing their own box.
- 7 highlight colors: choose between Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Cyan, Blue, and Purple. Cycle through them in the mod settings screen.
- Highlight radius slider (beta): set the world outline radius from 2 to 128 blocks with a slider. Default is 32. Values above ~32 may cause frame drops on lower-end machines.
- Placement lock HUD badge: when placement lock is active, a
[!] Placement locked | MC X.Ybadge appears in the bottom-right corner while playing. - Toggle highlight keybind: new unbound keybind to toggle the highlight on/off without opening any menu. Assign it in Controls → Variante.
Changed
- Version picker: the filter toggle button now stays open when clicked (no longer closes the screen). Renamed "Back" to "Close". Removed the placement lock toggle from the picker (use the settings screen instead).
- Highlight naming: "Tint" renamed to "Highlight" throughout the UI, settings, and keybinds.
- Placement lock naming: now shown as "Placement lock: ON / OFF" instead of "Placement: locked / free".
- Creative inventory version label: removed when the filter is active (the button already shows the active version in green). When the filter is off, only
(filter off)is shown: without the version number. - Creative inventory buttons: wider and version-aware: the version button shows
MC X.Yin green when the filter is on, andVersion ▾in gray when off.
Fixed (block versions)
- Several blocks had wrong introduced-in versions: bone block, magma block, nether wart block, red nether bricks, and structure void moved from 1.11 to 1.10. Dragon head moved from 1.13 to 1.9. Zombie head moved from 1.13 to 1.8. Cut sandstone and cut red sandstone moved from 1.8 to 1.13 (they are new 1.13 blocks, not renamed variants).
- Cherry wood, bamboo wood, hanging signs, chiseled bookshelf, decorated pot, torchflower, suspicious sand, piglin head, and related blocks were experimental before 1.20 and are now correctly listed as 1.20.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
