Village Quest 2.2.0 β The Shrines Between Roads
Village Quest 2.2 expands the roads between villages into a late-game story about trust, restoration, and travel.
Highlights
- A six-chapter story begins once your trade network is established and leads from village study to the Broken Heartstone and the first awakened Wayshrine.
- Connected settlements receive persistent Granary, Forge, Pasture, Apiary, or Archive identities plus an independent Known, Trusted, and Allied bond.
- Guild Notice Posts offer substantial daily deliveries whose progress improves local Wayshrine fares, charge use, and cooldowns.
- Owner-bound Wayshrine networks provide map-based travel between connected villages and support guest travel for other players.
- The illustrated Guild Atlas presents the Guild Path, all eight Charter projects, and five parallel Trust disciplines with live progress.
- Trade routes remain fully persistent, with visible merchant caravans, ocean ferries, dynamic incidents, route upgrades, specializations, a living terrain map, and a configurable minimap.
- A dedicated Village Quest recipe-book category groups all mod recipes and discovers them automatically when their materials are carried.
- The Guild Archive safely replaces unique guild tools that were genuinely lost.
- Complete English, German, and Spanish localization is included.
Polish and fixes
- Rebuilt the Guild Notice Board as a dedicated illustrated request screen.
- Improved Guild Atlas navigation, progression fog, hover cards, framing, markers, and Trust readability.
- Opened Wayshrine binding to Known villages with exact tier-dependent terms shown before travel.
- Improved Wayshrine, Guild Notice Post, Guild Milestone, Charter medallion, and shrine material art.
- Fixed long-session Wayshrine crystal animation, Archive replacement feedback, Guild Atlas placeholders, and several quest and world-generation edge cases.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
