Changes
Settings, so you can have it your way.
Ten things the mod used to decide for you are now yours to decide. Reachable from Mods → Villager Enhanced → Config, no file editing required.
Added
Your settings — personal, and they affect only you
- Voice volume. The mumble was too quiet; it is louder by default and now adjustable. Set it to 0 to silence villagers entirely.
- Dialogue speed. How quickly lines appear, or 0 to show whole answers at once. Villagers still speak when it is off — once per answer rather than once per line.
World settings — set by whoever runs the world, and shared by everyone on it
- Turn the dialogue off entirely. Right-clicking a villager goes back to plain vanilla trading, with the mod installed but dormant. Useful alongside other mods that change villager interaction.
- Sneak to trade, on or off.
- Whether a villager is occupied for a whole conversation. On a busy server you may prefer they are not, so several players can talk to the same villager.
- Conversation range, how far you can wander before a villager gives up on you.
- Reputation gained per gift, how many rumours a villager passes on, and how far their acquaintances reach.
- Whether the reputation page shows the raw score beside the tier, or just the tier.
A mod icon, so the mod is recognisable in the Mods list.
Notes
- Requires Minecraft 26.2 and NeoForge 26.2.0.48-beta, as before.
- No protocol change this time; 0.7.0 clients and servers talk to 0.6.0 ones.
- Gift value only changes how quickly a villager's opinion tops out, never how high. Reaching the highest regard still takes more than generosity.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
