Changes
Version 3.1.0
New
- Match Inside Words toggle choose whether trigger words also count inside longer words. ON the old behaviour (glass triggers "ass"). OFF only the exact word on its own triggers. (glass triggers glass). Applies to both item and mob triggers.
- Accent Tolerance setting (Off / Low / Medium / High, default Medium). Improves detection for non-American accents. The speech model is trained on US English, so with other accents the right word is often its second or third guess. The mod now checks the model's top few guesses instead of only the first. Higher settings catch more but can occasionally misfire on similar sounding words. If you get misfires, lower it or turn Match Inside Words off.
Improved
- Much better detection when using Simple Voice Chat (SVC). The mod now fills pauses with silence, so each phrase is detected on its own.
- The direct microphone is now the default audio source for new installs. It's the most accurate option, and SVC still works normall for talking. Existing installs will keep their current settings. For the best accuracy turn off Use Simple Voice Chat in the mod's settings. If you want to keep using SVC turning off SVC's denoiser and automatic gain helps detection.
- The settings screen now adjusts its spacing so every button fits on small windows and at high GUI scales.
Notes
- The Voice Log only shows the most likely transcription, even when Accent Tolerance is on.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
