1.21.1
Platform
NeoForge
Supported environments
Client and server
Changes
Voltex 3.0.4 (Forge 1.20.1 and NeoForge 1.21.1)
Added
- Wind Turbine: an early generator that needs no fuel and works day and night. Build a Wind Turbine Base, 2 to 10 Wind Turbine Mast Sections and a Wind Turbine Nacelle on top, then right-click the nacelle with a Wind Turbine Rotor. Shift + right-click with an empty hand takes the rotor out.
- Turbine output grows with the mast height and the altitude of the base. Rain and thunder add more, and the wind changes over time. Expect about 80 to 180 FE/t in clear weather and up to 500 FE/t in a thunderstorm on a mountain. Turbines closer than 6 blocks slow each other down. The nacelle needs open sky and free room around the blades.
- The turbine base gives power out of every side except the top. Right-click the nacelle with an empty hand, or look at it with Jade, to see the output and what limits it.
- Energy Bank T2 (100M FE, 1M FE/t) and Energy Bank T3 (2B FE, 100M FE/t). T2 is crafted from a T1 bank and keeps its charge. T3 is made in the Industrial Assembler.
- Charging Plate: stand on it and it charges your armour, the items in your hands and your inventory, up to 100k FE/t from its cable.
- Covers: hold a full block and Shift + right-click a cable or heat pipe to hide it inside that block. The cable keeps working. The wrench takes the cover off first, then the cable.
For pack makers and add-on authors
- A public API, described in API.md in the repository: nanite classes, scientist topics, rare traits and chamber surroundings, structure wand support and the late multiblock logic for add-on machines, guide models, the power suit interface, shared upgrades and covers for add-on pipes.
- New wind turbine rotors from Java (VoltexWind.rotor) or from a KubeJS startup script (ICStartupEvents.windRotor), each with its own output, blade length and colour.
- Add-ons can ship their own guide chapters, marked with the add-on name.
- Depend on industrial_core with the range [3.0.4,4). The API stays compatible within Voltex 3.x.
Changed
- Energy banks keep their charge and reserve setting when picked up with the wrench or broken with a pickaxe. The item shows the charge in its tooltip and bar.
- A guide chapter missing in your language is now shown in English instead of being left out.
Fixed
- Energy bars on items no longer run over the neighbouring slots when an item holds more energy than it can store.
- The Evolution Chamber window showed a raw text key when fed an item of another nanite class.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
