Voluminous Energy v1.21.1-0.5 Alpha 1
This is the long awaited port of Voluminous Energy to both NeoForge and 1.21.1. We apologize for the time that this has taken to get this release out, but it was quite an effort to refactor, test, and fix up large portions of this mod to switch from Forge and port it to a newer version of MC is always a decent amount of work. We’re releasing this mod in alpha state, because while our testing looks good, usually when we have large changes like this, there are bugs that could slip through the cracks. Please try out this release and let us know any issues you come across so we can fix them!
Multitool Rework
- The Multitool is now a single tool that holds several bits at once (Drill, Chain, Scooper, Trimmer), to make it more like an AIOT.
- It automatically switches to the best installed bit for the block you're looking at, and its look changes to match
- Bits are added and removed at the redesigned Tooling Station
- The Multitool still runs on combustible fuel stored in its own tank, which is still filled at the Tooling Station
- You won’t be able to fuel or time mining blocks that wouldn't drop anything, but still breaks blocks that don't need a tool or specific bit installed
- Note: the old per-bit Multitools (e.g. Iron Drill Multitool) have been removed.
- A reminder: DO NOT BRING FORWARD OLD WORLDS.
Visual Changes
- New animations: the top vents on the Aqueoulizer and Air Compressor, the front of the Air Compressor, and the bottom of the Pump while it pumps
- The Stirling Generator now has a lit texture and smoke particles while running
- Gaseous fluids now correctly pool against ceilings
- Updated GUIs for the Battery Box and Tooling Station to reflect changes to the blocks functionality
Other noticeable changes
- Geysers can now carve properly through Terracotta
- Ore deposits are now less likely to spawn where they can see the sky by default (configurable)
- Config files are now created in a
voluminousenergysubfolder - Removed the "Play Machine Sounds" config option, which could crash dedicated servers
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
