Changes
World map performance
- Reworked explored-terrain storage and loading with sparse viewport queries, asynchronous tile loading, and a multiresolution explored-chunk index.
- Added cached terrain rasters, trail geometry, and completed zoom views, with configurable cache size and upload budgets.
- Added culling for off-screen map content and split geometry into batches to avoid renderer vertex limits.
- Added per-layer loading indicators, profiling support, and faster repeat zooming.
- Preserved trail detail while adding selectable trail and chunk-overlay resolution settings.
World map settings
- Consolidated map controls into the current settings sidebar and removed the older world-map options screen.
- Added Full Detail and Balanced presets, per-layer visibility sliders ending in Always, and controls for overlay rendering and zoom behavior.
- Added zoom-range, scroll-step, snap, cache-size, and loading-bar settings.
- Updated the map header title, zoom ratio, and blocks per pixel.
SeedMap and server seeds
- Improved world-aligned biome sampling across zoom levels, with higher resolution options and finer sampling at close zooms.
- Made cursor biome lookups asynchronous; separated and bounded terrain shading work so the biome preview can appear first.
- Added controls for SeedMap resolution, padding, terrain zoom, and preview caching.
- Added Advanced → Servers & Seeds, with search, seed filters, and copy, edit, and delete controls.
Other changes
- Updated settings persistence, translations, waypoint seed handling, terrain cache migration, and ChunkSync settings.
- Added regression tests for map rendering, caching, loading progress, geometry batching, SeedMap sampling, and seed editing.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
