πͺοΈ WeatherPhysics v0.0.7 β Storm Rotation & Funnel Clouds Update
Version 0.0.7 brings significant mechanics to make storms more dynamic, realistic, and immersive, laying the groundwork for severe atmospheric hazards!
π Storm Rotation & Atmospheric Dynamics
- π Storm Rotation: Cumulonimbus clouds now have a dynamic chance to develop base rotation, with probabilities scaling based on cloud type and severity.
- π Variable Rotation Widths: Rotating storm cores now feature varying diameters and structural widths.
- π«οΈ Funnel Clouds (Experimental): Added early-stage funnel clouds extending from rotating cloud bases (Note: work in progress, minor visual bugs may occur).
π§οΈ Rain Physics & Visuals
- π§οΈ Realistic Drop Velocities: Raindrops now fall at varying speeds instead of a uniform rate, creating a much more natural downpour effect.
- βοΈ Smooth Storm Panning: Overhauled cloud movement vectors for smoother cloud and storm progression across the sky.
π‘ Systems & Radar Refinements
- π‘ Radar Improvements: Enhanced tracking performance and visual accuracy on the Weather Radar HUD (
R).

Thank you to everyone supporting WeatherPhysics! This update is another major step toward creating the ultimate atmospheric simulation in Minecraft. Download v0.0.7 and test out the new rotating storms!
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
