β‘ WeatherPhysics v0.1.1 β Major Weather Update
Version 0.1.1 brings major improvements to tornado behavior, atmospheric simulation, cloud diversity, and weather visualization. Experience more dynamic storms, new cloud formations, and enhanced environmental interactions!
πͺοΈ Tornado Behavior & Environmental Physics
- π§ Dynamic Tracking: Tornadoes can now dynamically change their direction of movement.
- π Lifecycle Effects: Added realistic formation and dissipation visual/physical sequences.
- π Surface Interactions: Added distinct ground and water interaction effects when tornadoes transition across land or bodies of water.
- β°οΈ Mountain Reorganization: Improved terrain physics allowing tornadoes to structurally reorganize when colliding with mountains.
- γ°οΈ Rope Tornado Mechanics: Enhanced rope tornado behavior featuring more realistic twisting and structural deformation.
βοΈ New Cloud Families & Atmospheric Appearance
Added a brand-new cloud family consisting of four distinct formations:
- π€οΈ Altocumulus (Appears naturally during stable atmospheric conditions)
- π° Altocumulus Castellanus (Signifies increasing instability)
- βοΈ Cumulus Congestus Altocumulogenitus (Represents active convection stages)
- βοΈ Cumulonimbus Altocumulogenitus (Advanced convective instability stages)
- β οΈ Important Note: Altocumulus clouds and all their convective variants are strictly non-tornadic and cannot generate tornadoes.
π‘ Weather Radar & Atmospheric Station
- π Reflectivity Color Scale: Updated the radar visualization with a 7-level intensity scale:
- π΅ Blue: Weak
- π· Light Blue: Moderate
- π‘ Yellow: Strong
- π Orange: Very Strong
- π΄ Red: Severe
- π£ Pink: Extreme
- βͺ White: Maximum
- π Rotation Indicator: Improved radar visuals to clearly display storm rotation patterns.
- π Dynamic Atmospheric Station: Atmospheric values no longer remain static; CAPE and other variables now fluctuate dynamically over time during active simulation periods.
π Visuals, Wind & Stability
- βοΈ Cloud Shadows: Added dynamic shadows appearing when players walk underneath clouds (Experimental / WIP).
- π Enhanced Rainbows: Improved visual rendering for atmospheric rainbows.
- π Shelter Wind Logic: Wind no longer pushes or affects players while they are safely inside enclosed structures.
- π Bug Fixes: Resolved an issue that caused active storms to disappear unexpectedly.
β¨οΈ New Cloud Spawn Commands (OP Level 2+)
Operators can manually spawn the new cloud types using:
/weatherphysics spawncloud ALTOCUMULUS/weatherphysics spawncloud ALTOCUMULUS_CASTELLANUS/weatherphysics spawncloud CUMULUS_CONGESTUS_ALTOCUMULOGENITUS/weatherphysics spawncloud CUMULONIMBUS_ALTOCUMULOGENITUS

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
