๐ Welcome to the Initial Beta Release of WhereIsMyStuff? (WIMS) v0.1.0!
This is the very first public release of WIMS, a lightweight, 100% client-side Quality-of-Life mod designed to make death inventory recovery seamless, balanced, and visually elegant.
๐ป Key Features Included:
- Elegant Ghost Inventory Overlay: Empty slots where you lost items will render a faded ghost icon with a 55% opacity dark dimming overlay, showing you exactly what was lost and where.
- Smart Slot Restoration: Recovered items automatically snap back to their original slots upon pickup, saving you from tedious inventory re-sorting.
- Occupant Relocation (Auto-Swap): If a ghost slot gets temporarily occupied by another item (e.g., picking up dirt first), picking up your recovered item later will automatically relocate the temporary blocker to another empty slot, putting your item back where it belongs!
- Partial Recovery Support: Ghost indicators stay visible and active with updated counts if you only recover part of a stack.
- Ultra-Lightweight & High Performance: Tiny compiled footprint (~67 KB) with optimized client-side event hooks ensuring zero per-tick overhead or FPS stutter.
- 100% Client-Side: Works on singleplayer, LAN, Realms, and vanilla multiplayer servers (like Hypixel) without requiring any server-side installation!
โ ๏ธ Tested Versions Notice:
This release is programmatically compatible with the 1.21.4 - 1.21.11 range. However, we have officially and manually tested it to ensure 100% stability on:
- Minecraft 1.21.4
- Minecraft 1.21.10
- Minecraft 1.21.11
As this is the first Beta release, please report any bugs or mod compatibility issues on our GitHub issue tracker. Your feedback is highly appreciated!
