World Alive: Ambient birds and wildlife
Particle based client side ambient birds and wildlife, based on cosy critters and creepy crawlies. Also contains other ambient things such as mirages in the desert, distant players on horseback, distant boats in the ocean.

Changes
World Alive is based on the mod Cosy Critters, an ambient mod that added:
- Birds
- Spiders
- Moths
- The Hat Man (allegedly)
v1.0.0 - "World Alive" A full rebrand: New critters & sights
- New birds: Flamingo, magpie, seagull, barn owl, parakeet, red cardinal, robin, toucan
- Butterflies - blue morpho, painted lady, monarch, the flaming crescent (crimson forest) and the warping crescent (warped forest).
- Cicada - an insect/ bug idk lmao that chills on logs and makes that loud ass noise
- Desert mirages - distant oasis and village illusions that shimmer on the horizon and fade away as you get close
- Horizon wanderers - far-off riders on land, and ships out at sea. Spot one and it turns away
Ambience & sound overhaul
- Every bird now calls both while perched and in flight with a per flock call cap
- master bird-call volume slider in the config.
- Cicada calls cut off the moment their tree/block is broken.
A more seamless world
- Cross into a new biome and its wildlife is already there, instead of waiting for the previous area's to despawn.
- Previous flocks linger and thin out naturally behind you, rather than being cleared - turn around and they're still there.
- Wildlife spawns off-screen so nothing pops into view.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
