Changes
World Notes 1.0.0 — Fabric · Minecraft 26.3
This release is available for Fabric on Minecraft 26.3
Features
- Client-side minimap with block-resolution terrain and coverage based on your effective render distance.
- Expand the map with M and zoom using the mouse wheel.
- Markers for items, neutral/passive mobs, hostile mobs, and other players, with grouping, filters, and hover details.
- Automatic connected cave layers that hide disconnected caves and off-layer markers.
- Nether terrain mapping that excludes the bedrock roof while recognizing enclosed Nether tunnels.
- Freely draggable minimap placement with Save & play, corner presets, and a reset option.
- Searchable, world-separated bookmarks with notes, colors, hidden entries, and location tracking.
- Client-only rainbow outlines around the exact block of a tracked coordinate.
- Dimension-colored labels and compass gradients, with the day counter below coordinates.
- Settings → Cheat provides dimension-filtered structure searches and teleport requests. Requires operator/cheats level 2+ and locate/teleport command permissions.
Fixes and improvements
- Improved terrain loading and asynchronous cache handling.
- Preserved cave scan progress while walking and shifting the map window.
- Prevented unnecessary scan resets from fire/fluid updates and pending chunks.
- Improved crowded-map readability and reduced the minimap arrow size.
- Added safer bookmark saves, backup recovery, and coordinate validation.
Requirements
- Minecraft: 26.3
- Loader: Fabric Loader 0.19.5+
- Dependency: Fabric API 0.162.0+26.3
- Java: 25
- Installation: Client-side only; servers do not need the mod.
Planned loader releases
Forge and NeoForge builds will be released after successful in-game testing. They are not included in this Fabric release.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
