Sapling growth statistics
Vanilla tree generation is random, so two saplings of the same species rarely produce the same
shape, and there is no easy way to see what a species actually generates. The new
saplingGrowthStatistics rule samples every tree that grows from a sapling and turns those samples
into readable statistics.
- New rule
saplingGrowthStatistics(off by default; categories[YACA],[feature],[treefarm]). While it is enabled, a tree grown from a sapling places no blocks: the growth is recorded instead, storing the blocks it would have placed together with their offsets from the sapling, grouped per species. - New command
/treeStats(gamemaster permission) - per-species overview: trees sampled, total logs, average logs per tree, leaves and beehives. /treeStats exportwrites an interactive page torun/tree-growth-stats.html: a rotatable and zoomable 3D view of the sampled blocks, per-block visibility toggles, a layer-by-layer profile table and the per-species overview. The page follows the browser language (English / 简体中文 / Русский) and falls back to English./treeStats grow <pos> <times>force-grows the sapling at the given position N times to collect samples quickly, with progress shown on a boss bar;/treeStats stopcancels a running sampling./treeStats resetclears all collected data.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
