Changes
Added
- Water Boiler: A new water purification machine that heats and processes dirty water into safe, purified water.
- Features dynamic in-world fluid level rendering.
- Custom GUI screen with energy, temperature, and fluid level indicators, styled with Immersive Engineering-inspired orange titles.
- Integrates with Immersive Engineering's external heaters (automatically active if Immersive Engineering is installed).
- Advancement system with 11 advancements guiding players through the full thirst progression:
- Stay Hydrated β craft a Clay Bowl to begin managing your thirst (root).
- Desperate Measures β drink water directly from a source block using your bare hands.
- Singin' in the Rain β drink rain by looking straight up during a storm.
- Risk Taker β drink dirty water and suffer the consequences.
- Pure Mechanics β craft a Filter Frame to start purifying your water supply (requires Create).
- Wear and Tear β have a filter core wear out completely and become clogged.
- Reduce, Reuse, Recycle β wash a clogged Fabric Filter Core in a cauldron.
- Boiling Point β craft a Water Boiler to heat and purify water.
- Liquid Gold β consume a drink with Purified quality.
- Brink of Death β survive dehydration damage while at 0 thirst.
- Crimson Thirst β suspend thirst mechanics by becoming a Vampire (Vampirism / Supernatural).
- Expanded built-in default hydration values for popular mods, registered out of the box without any configuration required:
- Farmer's Respite: teas (green, yellow, black, rose hip, dandelion, gambler's), coffee, melon juice, apple cider.
- Create: Builder's Tea.
- Farmer's Delight: apple cider, melon juice, milk bottle, fruit salad, soups, stews, and baked goods.
- Brewin' & Chewin': beers, spirits, cocktails, and specialty brews.
- Collector's Reap: limeades, popsicles, and teas.
- Farm & Charm: herbal teas, soups, and fruit dishes.
- Tough As Nails: all canteens (dirty, normal, purified across all tiers), juices, and ice cream.
- Supernatural: Blood Bottle.
- Cold Sweat: Filled Waterskin.
- Brewery: beers and whiskeys.
- Bakery: cakes, pies, cupcakes, and pastries.
- New configuration options for fine-tuning water purification machines:
- Filter Frame (requires Create): base throughput speed, per-tier durability and maximum purity caps, and contamination-based decay multipliers.
- Water Boiler: internal tank capacity.
- Localization Updates: Standardized and updated "Front of the machine" and other block state messages across all supported languages (English, French, Russian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, Traditional Chinese, Korean, Polish, and Vietnamese).
Changed
- Cauldron water purity mixing now uses the worst-case (minimum) purity of the two sources instead of a weighted average blend. Adding lower-quality water to a cauldron that already contains cleaner water will now always pull the result down to the dirtier level.
Fixed
- Hand drinking now correctly cancels the vanilla item use action on the client side, preventing unwanted double-interactions when drinking from water source blocks.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
