Changelog
Adrenaline 1.14.4 Changelog
1.20.1 is now a stable release, with every mod present. C2ME is no longer shipped with the modpack, more information in the "Removed" section
Added
- Dependency override for Smooth Boot so that it launches properly on 1.20.1
- Smooth Boot to 1.20.1
Changed
- Updated Fabric API, Dynamic FPS
Removed
- Concurrent Chunk Management Engine
- Why? I asked about removing it and we discussed this on my Discord server for a little while, with most of the community voting for it to be removed. It's hard to come to a conclusion about if it affects or improves performance at all, as many factors have to be considered, but there are other reasons why it was removed:
- It is in an alpha state and is experimental. This can lead to instability, or even in very rare cases, world corruption.
- It has very mixed opinions. I’ve seen people in the past who think badly of it being included in a popular modpack such as Adrenaline.
- It doesn’t have great mod compatibility. It typically has to be removed in content modpacks due to this.
- The mod's configs will stay built-in to the modpack, as C2ME will be added as a recommended mod in the post-install section of the wiki. It's up to you if you want to add it in post even considering it's negatives.
