Andromeda

Hi everyone, new update, LOTS of changes! + Official RELEASE!

Updated / Changed

• Andromeda Origins — 1.4.75 → 1.4.78

  • Migrated to Overgrown's Origins and Opoli, with updated Origin screens, descriptions, and configuration support.
  • Fixed missing textures and rendering issues in the custom Origin reader’s tooltips and badges.
  • Fixed standard and Champion Lichling self-revival while downed, including while sneaking. Self-revival now takes priority over reviving another target.
  • Improved Humanity’s final stand and revival handling. Humanity remains at 9 hearts, with repair support for incorrect leftover health values.
  • Restored /andromedaorigins repair and added login/respawn cleanup for stale Origin state, including leftover Medieval Origins powers and attributes.
  • Fixed Manticore dragging so victims remain linked to the correct caster in multiplayer.
  • Improved final-stand timer persistence across reconnects and server restarts.
  • Added live, server-controlled settings for individual Origin powers and food balance.

• Origin Balance Changes

  • Gorgons no longer climb walls. They now have 10% general damage resistance, with an additional 15% reduction against ordinary damage sources, and toggleable dark vision.
  • Selkie hydration now lasts 5 minutes on dry land, up from 3 minutes.
  • Standard Selkies now have a 15% damage-dealt penalty. Their retaliation reduces an attacker’s damage and swim speed.
  • Nereid land penalties now begin after stored hydration runs out. Their dry-land damage vulnerability is reduced from 40% to 25%.
  • Fenrkin’s general damage resistance is reduced from 25% to 10%. On the Hunt’s stat bonuses are reduced from 25% to 20%, and water/rain weakness is enforced immediately.
  • Manticore’s melee bonus is reduced from 35% to 25%, with 15% damage resistance against non-projectile, non-fall sources.
  • Satyr Momentum now gives 13% speed per stack, capped at 65%. The dive follow-up requires Swift Leap to have been consumed first.
  • Siren’s damage-dealt penalty is reduced from 10% to 5%.
  • Faerie concealment now has a 5-minute continuous limit, followed by a 10-second lockout.
  • Clarified Arachne’s Eightfold Swiftness: projectile damage dealt is reduced by 50% while using the movement and for 3 seconds afterward.
  • Updated Wyverian’s damage resistance to 10% against most sources, with its listed environmental and magical exclusions.

• Veilborn Rework

  • Replaced the old Curtain Step pearl with Veil Step: up to 5 seconds of free flight at approximately 15 blocks per second, with an 8-second cooldown.
  • During Veil Step, other players see a particle cloud instead of your model and equipment, including while hovering.
  • On your own client, living entities appear as shadow-cloud echoes.
  • Veil Step grants immunity to ordinary damage and knockback and ignores entity collision. Solid terrain still blocks you.
  • Crossing a living entity applies Reality Shatter for 5 seconds. Standard Veilborn also receive Reality Shatter for 5 seconds after emerging.
  • Sneak + Primary still uses Veil Transposition to swap with a target within 32 blocks.
  • Auroral Mirage now lasts up to 5 minutes, with a 2-minute cooldown. Dealing damage or taking a successful hit breaks it; a hit avoided by Shimmer does not.
  • Reduced armor-weight slowdown from 10% to 5% per threshold, for a maximum of 15%.
  • Water no longer silences active abilities. The wet penalty now reduces damage dealt by 50% and movement/swim speed by 40%, and can linger after exposure.
  • Veilborn have no unconditional innate slowdown. Armor-weight, wetness, and Reality Shatter penalties still apply where appropriate.

• Food Balance & Stacking

  • Removed the standalone Let’s Do Food Balance mod. Food restrictions are now handled through Andromeda Origins and the updated food-mod configs.
  • Beef Wellington now restores 6 hunger points and 6 saturation per serving, including placed dishes.
  • Farmer’s Blessing, Grandma’s Blessing, and Stoutheart remain disabled, with active effects also cleared.
  • Golden foods remain blocked from bypassing Incapacitated, reviving downed players, or resetting their down counters through eating.
  • Added Sensible Stackables, replacing Potion Stacking and handling the pack’s stack-size rules.
  • Golden Apples, Golden Carrots, and Enchanted Golden Apples are configured for a maximum stack size of 4.
  • Enchanted Golden Apples remain temporarily removed. Their stack-size setting does not re-enable them.
  • Updated Vinery’s wine-effect and aging configuration, alongside the newer Let’s Do food configurations.

• Roleplay Status — replaces Andromeda Status

  • Replaced Andromeda Status with Roleplay Status 1.0.7.
  • Redesigned the status screen with selection markers, full-label tooltips, and configuration access.
  • Added server-controlled status labels, colors, and permissions through Fzzy Config, with live synchronization.
  • Preserved the No Sleep toggle and migration support for previous Andromeda status settings.
