# The BassetBlocks Core Modpack The BassetBlocks Core modpack serves as a foundational collection of mods designed to enhance the vanilla Minecraft experience without altering core gameplay mechanics. Its primary focus is on significant performance and rendering optimization, utilizing popular mods like **Sodium**, **Lithium**, and **FerriteCore** to reduce memory usage and improve frame rates. This pack also includes essential utility and library mods, such as **Fabric API** and **Mod Menu**, to ensure broad compatibility and ease of use. Additionally, it incorporates social features like **Simple Voice Chat** and the Hermitcraft-inspired **Status** mod to enrich the multiplayer experience. It is the essential starting point for any BassetBlocks adventure, providing a stable and smooth platform for further customization. ## Easy Customization ### Before Launch: You can decide exactly what your experience will be like using the Modrinth App. Just go to your modpack's content list and use the simple toggles to turn any mod on or off for that session. Once you're happy with your selection, you hit "Play."![Modrinth App Toggle Button](https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/cached_images/f03d7bbce57c2b3eb2fb14dca8c7e0951b7cdfc0.png) ### In-Game Menu: When you get to the main menu, the Mod Menu mod adds a **"Mods" button** to your options screen. This is your in-game command center. From here, you can click on any mod and, if it has a gear icon, dive into its specific settings to tweak it to your liking.![Configure Mod Setting In Game With Mod Menu](https://cdn.modrinth.com/data/cached_images/d38fa77b590b5f32eca7e3f59ee97194f4d5fcd2.png) ## Our Purpose The three BassetBlocks Modpacks—Core, Community, and Creator—are a user-friendly solution designed to simplify the process of installing and managing the mods, datapacks, and resource packs for use on the BassetBlocks server. License Information

The BassetBlocks Core Modpack contains mods under various licenses. To my knowledge, no authors of mods, datapacks, or resource packs have explicitly forbidden their inclusion. Should I be notified otherwise, I will promptly remove the content in question. According to Modrinth's documentation, you are generally permitted to include any project hosted on Modrinth within your modpack, provided that your modpack is also hosted on Modrinth. This is considered an implicit agreement, though you must respect the wishes of any author who explicitly disallows their project's inclusion in modpacks.

This is a copyright notice that indicates that the copyright holder reserves all the rights provided by copyright law. On Modrinth, it is used to protect assets where the user has distribution permissions but not ownership. Essentially, it means you cannot use, modify, or distribute the content without explicit permission from the copyright holder.

LGPL-3.0-only (GNU Lesser General Public License 3.0 only)

This is a copyleft license that is often used for software libraries. It allows developers to use and link to the licensed software in their own (even proprietary) applications. However, if you modify the LGPL-licensed component itself, you must release your modifications under the same LGPL-3.0 license.

Apache-2.0 (Apache License 2.0)

A permissive open-source license. You can freely use, modify, and distribute the licensed software. A key feature of this license is that it includes an express grant of patent rights from contributors to users. When you distribute modified versions, you must include a copy of the license and a notice of the changes you made.

Polyform Shield 1.0.0

This is a source-available license, not a traditional open-source license. It allows for the use of the code for any purpose except for creating a product that competes with the original software. This means you can't create a competing product using the licensed code.

GPL-3.0-only (GNU General Public License 3.0 only)

This is a strong copyleft license. If you use code licensed under GPL-3.0 in your project, your entire project must also be licensed under GPL-3.0. This means you must make the source code of your project available to users. It also includes an express grant of patent rights.

MIT (MIT License)

A very popular permissive open-source license. It is short and simple, and it allows you to do almost anything you want with the code, including using it in proprietary software, as long as you include the original copyright and license notice in any copy of the software/source.
