CobbleHorizons 1.2.0 — League & Progression Update

CobbleHorizons 1.2.0 completes the core long-play progression experience, connecting the quest campaign, trainers, Gyms, level caps, League and presentation into one cohesive Pokémon adventure.

CobbleHorizons League

The full first-party CobbleHorizons League progression is now available:

Brock → Misty → Lt. Surge → Erika → Sabrina → Koga → Blaine → Clair → Lorelei → Bruno → Agatha → Lance → Champion Terry

• Added all 8 Gym Leaders, the Elite Four and the Champion to the main progression.
• League bosses no longer appear as random natural trainer spawns.
• Regular RCT trainers remain available throughout the world.
• Added the Horizon Elite postgame objective after completing the League.

Level Cap Progression

The League is now connected to RCT's level-cap system.

• Initial level cap: 15
• Overleveling is disabled.
• The cap increases as the player progresses through the League.

Designed progression:

15 → 27 → 34 → 44 → 59 → 68 → 76 → 81 → 85

This makes Gym victories a meaningful part of character and team progression instead of allowing the League to be bypassed through unrestricted grinding.

Expanded Quest Campaign

• Expanded the campaign to 107 active gameplay quests + 1 root advancement.
• Connected the main journey from starter selection through the Champion.
• Improved prerequisite gating throughout the campaign.
• Reduced automatic reward chains caused by legacy inventory objectives.
• Converted important reward sinks to CobbleDollars where appropriate.
• The 12 experimental Species Hunt templates remain disabled until species-specific capture detection is reliable enough for Cobblemon 1.7.3.

The main journey now follows:

Choose Your Partner → Apricorn Research → First Capture → Pokédex → Trainers → 8 Gyms → Elite Four → Champion → Horizon Elite

New CobbleHorizons Identity

The previous separate branding packs have been consolidated into a single first-party resource pack:

CobbleHorizons.zip

It includes:

• CobbleHorizons branding;
• custom title and UI assets;
• themed buttons;
• world-loading presentation;
• foliage and colormap adjustments;
• unified visual identity.

Faithful 32x has been removed from the release.

Cobblemon Interface and Cobblemon Interface: Modded are now integrated into the intended resource-pack stack.

Original Soundtrack

Added six original CobbleHorizons music tracks:

• Horizon Menu
• Routes and Fields
• Quiet Town
• Starlit Research
• Caves and Ruins
• Beyond the Horizon

Menu, exploration and ambient presentation now use the CobbleHorizons soundtrack while Cobblemon Battle Tracks continues to handle Pokémon battle music.

Menus & Loading Screens

Expanded the custom presentation across more of the Minecraft experience.

• Improved title-screen presentation.
• Themed world selection.
• Themed world creation.
• Themed multiplayer screen.
• Themed world-loading flow.
• Improved generic loading/message screens.
• Preserved the CobbleHorizons startup branding.

Controls

The default keybind configuration has been rebuilt to reduce conflicts between Cobblemon, Xaero, Inmis, Iris, Jade and utility mods.

Core gameplay shortcuts are now organized around:

Configuration shortcuts were moved to:

F6 – F10

Unnecessary development and debug shortcuts are disabled by default.

Survival & World Balance

CobbleHorizons remains a Pokémon-first world, but four essential passive animals have been restored:

• Cow
• Pig
• Chicken
• Sheep

This provides access to important early-game food and materials without requiring the player to immediately find a village.

Other curated vanilla spawning rules remain in place.

Installation

For the intended 1.2.0 experience, we strongly recommend:

• importing the .mrpack into a new Modrinth instance;
• allocating approximately 6 GB RAM;
• using Java 21;
• creating a fresh world.

Players upgrading an existing world should make a backup before updating.
