Cozy Contraptions — Changelog Summary (Oct 13, 2025)

Vanilla-plus gets a big creativity boost: more Create add-ons for trains, décor, metals, and renewable recipes; plus cozy building sets (Macaw’s) and a few utility/recipe mods. Some network/packet and capture tools were removed.

Removed

• file_names.py (internal file, no longer shipped)
• modlist.csv (internal file, no longer shipped)
• krypton v0.2.3
• xxlpackets v1.0.4
• packetfixer-fabric v1.4.2
• replaymod v2.6.20 (optional client mod; cut from pack)

Reason: These altered networking/packet paths and may have contributed to Netty errors (e.g., EncoderException/IllegalReferenceCountException).

Added

• Create: Steam ’n’ Rails
• Create: Design n’ Decor
• Create: Copper & Zinc
• Create: Estrogen
• Create: Renewable Recipes
• Create: Enchantment Industry
• Create: Ultimate Factory
• Sushi Mod
• Dis-Enchanting Table
• Macaw’s: Doors • Fences & Walls • Paths & Pavings • Trapdoors • Windows

Impact

• Stability: Packet path simplified; monitor for recurring Netty errors.
• Gameplay: More Create toys (trains, décor, metals, enchanting/processing), new décor blocks, simple disenchanting, new food loop.
• Performance: Minor improvement from removing packet stack; overall pack performance unchanged.

Migration / Admin Notes

• Delete old configs for removed networking mods from /config to avoid stray settings.
• Clients should remove ReplayMod or add it manually outside the pack.
• Verify all Create add-on dependencies match your current Create build; update if loader reports missing deps.
• No worldgen retro-gen required; new blocks are craftable.

Known Issues / Watchlist

• If any Netty errors persist, capture latest.log around join events and compare against prior stack traces.
• Trains (Steam ’n’ Rails) can be entity-heavy—consider lower sim distance on servers with many riders.
