This update focuses on refinement rather than expansion.

After extensive testing, world generation troubleshooting, compatibility checks, and performance profiling, a number of mods and systems have been removed or reworked to improve the overall quality of the pack.

Refined Vanilla+ Experience

• Shifted focus away from adding more content and towards creating a more polished experience.
• Retained core exploration, world generation, progression, ambience, and quality-of-life features.
• Improved consistency between gameplay systems and world generation.

Quality of Life & Visual Improvements

• Added and refined client-side enhancements including chunk-loading improvements and visual polish.
• Further optimisation through mods such as Bobby and additional performance-focused tools.
• Continued improvements to immersion through audio, animations, tooltips, UI enhancements, and environmental effects.

Why This Update?

During development, extensive testing revealed that some additions created more problems than benefits. While they added content, they also increased conflicts, loading issues, and maintenance complexity.

Version 1.0.2 prioritises a smoother, more stable, and more immersive Vanilla+ experience while preserving the exploration-focused identity of Forgotten Horizons.

The result is a pack that feels cleaner, runs better, and is easier to build upon going forward.
