Ice Boat Racing 1.10.0 Update Notes

Here it is, the grand update to 1.21.4! Featuring a lot of new tech for BoatLabs and a supporting mod for the eighth edition of World's Longest Course, this is by far the highest update-to-update improvement yet, for both performance and player experience.

After a talk with other racers and users, it's been decided to keep Axiom out of the modpack due to the possibility of forcing users into the Axiom UI unknowingly, and possibly not knowing how to leave the UI. Feel free to add it yourself, though! It's been thoroughly tested and will not influence your racing experience.

• A bug was resolved that caused HUD elements to display while in F1/HUDless mode

Configuration Updates:

• Updated default supplied configs for existing mods
• Fixed a configuration issue with enabled Continuity texture packs not persisting between modpack updates
• Added a default config for the BoatLabs Mod
• Added a default config for BBBoatHud
• Added read-only config for Palladium (modification can cause major bugs)
• Modified ModMenu config to get rid of the annoying update badges
• Modified BadOptimizations config to fix entity transparency culling
• Reduced default render distance to lessen stress on lower power devices
• Lowered maximum render distance due to stability concerns
• Increased Bobby chunk unload delay due to the average track length increasing across servers

Known Issues

• Rarely, when unloading a resource pack and joining a server or leaving a server before a resource pack is loaded, resource packs will fail to load for the rest of the session (a game restart fixes this)
• Rarely, when your game has crashed, an additional crash can happen on the world load due to a failed attempt to restore a previous shaderpack (fixes itself)
• On first session join, BoatLabs NPC skins sometimes don't load due to skin/username loading not working correctly
• During the loading of the BoatLabs resource pack, textures break due to texture mapping
• When using Equalizer APO or PulseAudio, specific effects can cause a short audio pop when unloading a resource pack while a sound is being played
• Attempting to open the website or issue pages of specific mods can cause a crash due to a null exception (mod author didn't put in a valid link)
• Attempting to go faster than 999 km/h will crash the game due to a HUD counter overflowing
• When using a launcher that reads the included server.dat file, unintended listings appear
• On NVIDIA Graphics cards, shaders exhibit major graphical artifacts

Notes for Customized Pack users

• As this is a version update, please remember what your custom mods were, and if they can be reinstalled with 1.21.4!

This also marks the official END of fully-featured CurseForge support. It's been incredibly hard trying to maintain a pack on a platform where so many mods are absent or need to be manually approved. Instead, CurseForge will transform into a type of long-term support build where only critical mods are present to maintain stability. CurseForge users should migrate themselves to Modrinth or a supporting launcher for the (new) best experience!
