Imagine a world where Minecraft didn't release into a full version, and instead, remained in an existential Beta state...
Now imagine a world where the legends from your childhood were actually true...
Introducing Minecraft Beta 1.20.1
A modpack that aims to capture the beauty and horror of Beta Minecraft, retaining the modern features you've come to love, and adding some you'll truly appreciate!

- The Nether Reactor Core from Minecraft: Pocket Edition returns in a more modern standard, that stays faithful to its origin!
- Brand new structures such as Fallen Survivor Bases, New Village Types, and other structures that retain Minecraft's core aesthetic!

- And much more to come!!!
Please Note that you will manually have to change which Java version you use, Minecraft Beta 1.20.1 requires Java 17!
FAQ
- Q: This doesn't feel a thing like beta Minecraft.
- A: That's the point! I didn't want to create another modpack that was just "beta but spooky" I wanted to create a modpack that felt like Mojang was the Mojang they were during the beta phase, when updates were huge and added variety to the game!
- Q: Can I post this modpack to YouTube or other social medias?
- A: ABSOLUTELY! Please just remember to link this page back somewhere so people can find it easier!
- Q: I'm not seeing any textures and the datapacks you provided aren't appearing
- A: I'm extremely new to making modpacks, so it's entirely possible you downloaded an older version that didn't contain resource packs/datapacks in the modpack file. To fix this download any version from 1.1.4 or above!
- Q: Are there any major jumpscares/epilepsy issues I should know of?
- A: Just one really, and it's fairly tame, Herobrine has a very small chance of being able to crash your game, aside from that however, you shouldn't be jumpscared! (at least, not in the traditional sense)
- Q: My frames are going down horribly when I'm mining in a cave waaaaay underground!
- A: This is a known issue, the only fix for now is to disable particles when you encounter severe frame-loss (this is especially bad in the Deep Dark and Ancient Cities)
- Q: When is the non-horror version coming? And will it differ from this main version?
- A: Now! Check the Alpha Release Channel to play a version without the horror elements (or if you're just tired of Herobrine griefing your stuff)
