Raion's Vanilla Plus 2.0: The Packwiz Rebuild

Version 2.0 marks a major milestone for Raion's Vanilla Plus. The modpack has been rebuilt, reorganized, and refined with a focus on better performance, improved visuals, and a more consistent vanilla experience.

The goal remains the same: a smoother, more immersive, and more convenient Minecraft experience without changing what makes vanilla Minecraft special.

📦 Complete Packwiz Migration

• Rebuilt the modpack around Packwiz for consistent and reproducible releases.
• Reorganized mod, shader, and resource pack management.
• Improved version tracking and dependency management.
• Established a cleaner foundation for future Minecraft updates.

⚡ Back to Voxy

One of the most notable changes in this release is the switch from Distant Horizons back to Voxy.

Voxy takes over distant terrain rendering, providing an alternative approach to extended view distances while keeping the focus on performance and visual consistency.

This change is part of an ongoing effort to find the best balance between immersive visuals, rendering performance, and compatibility with the rest of the modpack.

🔧 Mod Replacements & Refinements

Several mods have been reconsidered, adjusted, or replaced to improve the overall experience.

• Updated the mod selection, including changes involving Simple Blood and other visual effect mods.
• Replaced selected mods with alternatives that better fit the pack's vanilla-focused design.
• Refined the balance between visual enhancements, immersion, and performance.
• Continued reducing unnecessary complexity and overlapping functionality.

The goal is not to include as many mods as possible, but to make every addition feel worthwhile.

🔄 Upgrading from Previous Versions

A fresh installation is strongly recommended for version 2.0.

Since the modpack's internal structure, mod selection, and configuration management have changed significantly, creating a separate launcher instance is the safest approach.

Before upgrading:

• Back up your existing worlds and settings.
• Create a fresh instance using version 2.0.
• Review your preferred shaders, resource packs, and controls.
• Allow Voxy to initialize its own terrain data and caches.
• Check Minecraft version and mod compatibility before transferring existing worlds.

World compatibility cannot be guaranteed across different Minecraft versions or world-generation configurations.
