RC6 – Resource Pack & Settings Migration Test
This release candidate focuses on fixing resource pack activation and improving the preservation of personal settings during modpack updates.
Changes
- Added a one-time migration to reapply the complete default resource pack profile.
- Removed bundled Iris and Distant Horizons configuration files to avoid overwriting existing user preferences.
- Kept existing keybindings, gameplay content, mods, and datapacks unchanged.
Testing
- Verify that all intended resource packs are enabled and ordered correctly.
- Check shader and Distant Horizons settings.
- Confirm that personal audio, graphics, and other preferences are preserved.
Note: This test build intentionally reapplies the default resource pack selection once. Further testing is required before a stable release.
