Changes
π AntiSlur v2.0 β Major Update
This release is a complete rebuild of AntiSlur, introducing category-based filtering, intelligent detection, automatic punishment escalation, Discord logging, and much more.
β¨ New Features
π Category-Based Filtering
Organize filtered words into categories such as:
- Slurs
- Profanity
- Harassment
- Advertising
- Or create your own
Each category has its own configurable:
- Severity
- Detection strictness
- Punishment behavior
- Override actions
β οΈ Escalating Punishment Ladder
Player violations now accumulate over time and automatically escalate punishments.
Example progression:
Warning β Mute β Longer Mute β Kick β Temporary Ban β Permanent Ban
- Fully configurable punishment ladder
- Violation scores automatically reset after a configurable period of good behavior
π¨ Instant Punishments
Need zero-tolerance categories?
Configure any category to skip the punishment ladder entirely and immediately:
- Warn
- Mute
- Kick
- Tempban
- Permanently Ban
Perfect for slurs or other severe offenses.
π Auto-Mute
AntiSlur now supports two mute systems:
- EssentialsX integration (recommended)
- Built-in lightweight mute system
Choose whichever fits your server.
π¨ Discord Webhook Logging
Every violation can now be logged directly to Discord.
Logs include:
- Player
- Category
- Flagged message
- Punishment taken
- Timestamp
Webhook requests are sent asynchronously, so they never impact server performance.
π¬ Fully Customizable Messages
Every message sent by AntiSlur is configurable in config.yml.
Supports:
- Color codes
- Custom prefixes
- Personalized punishment messages
π οΈ New Admin Commands
Manage everything without restarting your server.
/antislur reload
/antislur add
/antislur remove
/antislur list
/antislur check
/antislur mute
/antislur unmute
/antislur reset
/antislur testwebhook
π― Improved Detection
The filtering engine has been completely rewritten.
β Whole-Word Matching
Avoids false positives by only matching complete words.
For example:
- β
Blocks
badword - β Doesn't flag
classbecause it containsass
π Strict Mode
Enable strict detection on a per-category basis to catch bypass attempts such as:
- Spaced-out words
- Symbols between letters
- Other common filter bypasses
π§ Better Normalization
Improved detection for:
- Leetspeak (
h3ll0,b@dw0rd) - Accented characters
- Repeated letters (
baaaadword) - Mixed character substitutions
βοΈ Configuration Improvements
Configuration has been simplified considerably.
Simpler Categories
Basic categories can now be defined as a simple list:
profanity:
- word1
- word2
Readable Severity Levels
Severity now uses human-readable values instead of numbers.
severity: low
severity: medium
severity: high
severity: severe
Cleaner Punishment Ladder
Punishment tiers are now defined in a single line.
2: "mute 10m"
5: "kick"
8: "tempban 7d"
10: "ban"

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
