AuraLobby 2.0.0 Experience Update β by KennnDev A new player experience with personal preferences, custom TAB, private messaging and in-game administration. Player Experience
- Added /preferences with toggles for player visibility, announcements, scoreboard, bossbar, actionbar and lobby sounds.
- Added automatic preference saving by UUID using asynchronous SQLite storage.
- Added configurable welcome profiles with personal titles, messages, sounds and particles.
- Added dedicated first-join welcome effects. Custom TAB
- Added configurable multiline headers and footers.
- Added animated text, gradients, MiniMessage and PlaceholderAPI support.
- Added real player ping and LuckPerms group-based name formats.
- Added optional OP name overrides, cached updates and reduced refresh rates under load. Chat & Messaging
- Added /msg and /reply, including command aliases.
- Added configurable private-message formats, sounds, cooldowns and length limits.
- Added opt-in /socialspy for authorized staff. Only monitors AuraLobby private messages.
- Added configurable player-name hover showing rank and ping.
- Added click-to-message suggestions without automatically executing commands.
- Restricted player text formatting to prevent injected click and hover actions. Administration
- Added /alobby admin for module toggles, spawn management and configuration diagnostics.
- Added region creation from wand selections, paginated region browsing and flag editing.
- Added confirmation before deleting regions. Configuration & Fixes
- Redesigned all four editable YAML files with English defaults, explanations, examples and safety notes.
- Fixed missing preference messages caused by YAML interpreting on and off as boolean keys.
- Added fallback messages and item descriptions for missing configuration entries.
- Improved inventory interaction protection and menu transitions.
- Improved scoreboard restoration and task cleanup.
- Preserved existing custom configurations and translations during updates. Requirements Java 21 and Paper/Purpur 1.21.4+. PlaceholderAPI, LuckPerms and Vault are optional. Updating Stop the server, replace the previous JAR and keep your plugins/AuraLobby folder. Existing files are preserved; the new English templates do not overwrite your custom settings.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
