English Version
Maps and Startup
- Initial maps now come with the plugin package. On first startup of a new server, arenas and the lobby are generated automatically, so server owners no longer need to build them manually or copy worlds.
- Maps are only placed when a world is first created. Existing maps and player changes are never overwritten.
- Maps are placed in batches, so startup does not freeze for long periods.
- Admins can view embedded map details and manually rebuild maps.
- Fixed the issue where the plugin could fail to load on some Minecraft 1.21 servers or appear to do nothing after installation. It now loads normally and prints startup information.
- One package supports a wider range of Minecraft / Paper server versions.
Automatic Matchmaking and Faction Selection
- Players no longer have to wait for an admin to start the game manually. Click the teleport NPC in the lobby or use
/bg join <map>to enter matchmaking. The game starts automatically once enough players have joined. - During matchmaking, players wait in the lobby's matchmaking room. A BossBar at the top shows the number of waiting players, the start countdown, and the current attacker/defender counts.
- Players receive red wool and blue wool in their inventory, representing the attacker and defender sides. Click the inventory slot or right-click to choose a side, and you can change your choice at any time.
- Once the player count reaches the map's minimum, a countdown starts. The default is 60 seconds. If the player count drops below the minimum, the countdown resets immediately.
- Teams are automatically balanced at the start: player choices are respected first, players without a choice are added to the smaller side, and the difference between the two teams is kept to 1 or less.
Match Control and Protection
- Admins can still use
/bg startor the “Force Start” button in map settings to skip the countdown and start immediately./bg stopends the match and returns everyone to matchmaking, where players can queue again. - During matchmaking, block breaking/placing, item dropping and picking up, and player-vs-player combat are disabled. Sensitive commands such as
/gamemode,/tp, and/giveare blocked. Players can still move around and chat freely. - Falling into the void during matchmaking does not kill you; you are sent back to the matchmaking room.
- Disconnecting during matchmaking removes you from the queue automatically. Reconnecting returns you to your original queue and restores your waiting-room state. Matchmaking queues are stored in memory and are cleared when the server restarts, so players need to join again.
Settings and Adjustments
- New settings include the match countdown, void detection height, and matchmaking room spawn point. Use
/bg res matchin the lobby to set the waiting area. - The old “game world” and its related commands and map data have been removed. The lobby name can still be changed.
- Initial maps, kill leaderboards, display signs, and server game rules remain unchanged.
Optional dependencies

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
