plugins/BeaconGame/。
English Version
Matchmaking and Game Start
- Players no longer need to wait for an admin to start the game manually. Click the teleport NPC in the lobby or use
/bg join <map>to enter matchmaking. The game starts automatically once enough players have joined. - During matchmaking, players wait in the lobby's matchmaking room. A BossBar at the top shows the number of waiting players, the start countdown, and the current attacker/defender counts in real time.
- Players receive red wool and blue wool in their inventory, representing the attacker and defender sides. Click the inventory slot or right-click to choose a side. You can change your choice at any time, and changes are broadcast to other players in the match.
- Once the player count reaches the map's minimum, a countdown starts. The default is 60 seconds. If the player count drops below the minimum, the countdown resets immediately.
- Teams are automatically balanced at the start: player choices are respected first, players without a choice are added to the smaller side, and the difference between the two teams is kept to 1 or less. Even if everyone chooses the same side, teams are split automatically.
- Admins can still use
/bg startor the “Force Start” button in map settings to skip the countdown and start immediately./bg stopends the match and returns everyone to matchmaking, where players can queue again.
Matchmaking Protection
- During matchmaking, block breaking/placing, item dropping and picking up, and player-vs-player combat are disabled. Sensitive commands such as
/gamemode,/tp, and/giveare blocked. Players can still move around and chat freely. - Falling into the void during matchmaking does not kill you; you are sent back to the matchmaking room.
- Disconnecting during matchmaking removes you from the queue automatically. Reconnecting returns you to your original queue and restores your waiting-room state.
- Matchmaking queues are stored in memory and are cleared when the server restarts, so players need to join again.
Map Generation and Fixes
- New servers now generate initial maps automatically on first startup. Server owners no longer need to build them manually or copy worlds.
- Fixed an issue where initial maps were not generated on first startup of a new server, leaving the world as an empty void.
- Fixed map misalignment, X/Z coordinate compression, fragmentation, missing layers or edges, and maps only being placed halfway. Maps are now placed completely with the correct coordinates, spawn points are inside the map, and the ground is solid beneath them.
- During map placement, target chunks are forced to stay loaded and saved together, preventing distant chunks from being lost. If interrupted, placement can resume automatically after a restart.
- The console now prints map placement progress and completion details for easier verification. If map resources fail to load, the console now reports a clear error instead of silently skipping.
Settings and Other Changes
- New settings include the match countdown, void detection height, and matchmaking room spawn point. Use
/bg res matchin the lobby to set the waiting area. - The old “game world” and its related commands and map data have been removed. The lobby name can still be changed.
- Map packages are now self-contained. The map building tool can export all required configuration files in one step. To deploy, simply copy the corresponding configuration into the server's
plugins/BeaconGame/. - After upgrading, it is recommended to delete the corresponding world directory and restart so the plugin can rebuild the map completely. Kill leaderboards and other data are preserved in the map package.
- Initial maps, kill leaderboards, display signs, and server game rules remain unchanged.

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
