Changes
[0.4.0] - 2026-09-23
Added
- Ship-only protection (
protection.scope: ship-only). Towers and bridges are left open; the ship and the city's loot chests stay protected. - Takeable dragon head (
protection.dragon-head-takeable). A player can take the ship's head once, and resets never put it back. - XP level price (
elytra.cost.levels), optionally doubling with each elytra bought (elytra.cost.double-each-claim). Right-click the frame to see your next price. - Frame shimmer (
elytra.frame-aura), a faint particle effect around the frame when a player is near. - The ship's brewing stand is per-player. Every player finds its two healing potions.
Changed
- Every setting is now in the
/betterendmenu. The old End Cities page is split into Per-player Loot, Protection and Finding Cities & Resets, plus new Storage and Updates & Stats pages.
Fixed
- Better Anti-Dupe was never detected. The plugin looked for its old name, so claimed elytras weren't marked as the claimer's own.
- MySQL storage never started. The plugin now starts on MySQL, and large loot copies (full shulker boxes, written books) save.
- Loot could be taken twice when a chest was open during a shutdown or reload, or reopened straight after closing.
- A player's own filled chest inside a city was copied to everyone. It now stays an ordinary shared chest.
- Cities looted before the plugin was installed gave out empty chests. They now roll fresh End City loot for each player, including chests already saved empty by an older version.
- City bounds were one block short on their east, top and south edges. Existing cities are corrected on the first start.
- Finding a ship's elytra frame could freeze the server by loading up to 25 chunks at once.
- Saving a city's copy no longer freezes the server while its chunks load.
- Protection now stops buckets, pistons, withers and falling blocks.
- Folia:
/betterend tpand saving from the menu work. /betterend tplands on top of the city's base tower instead of possibly over the void./betterend deleteclears the city's elytra claims at once and lets it be found again without a restart./betterend resetlootno longer stalls the server on a name that never joined.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
