Changes
Release focused on the Velocity port, multicast networking improvements, runtime reliability, configuration management, and expanded multi-language support.
✨ What's Changed
- Networking Improvements: Reworked the UDP multicast broadcaster for improved socket management, interface handling, and runtime reliability while preserving Minecraft's native LAN discovery protocol.
- Multiple Interfaces: Improved automatic and manual network interface selection, including support for multiple active interfaces and interface exclusions.
- Lifecycle Improvements: Improved plugin initialization, shutdown, start, stop, reload, and runtime reconfiguration handling.
- Thread & Socket Management: Added safer executor, scheduled task, and socket lifecycle management to prevent duplicate tasks, socket leaks, and broadcasts after shutdown.
- Configuration System: Reworked configuration loading, validation, persistence, and runtime updates using Configurate.
- Configuration Save Fixes: Removed redundant configuration save operations during command-based updates.
- Language System: Reworked language loading and fallback handling using Configurate YAML.
- Language Expansion: Expanded built-in localization from 8 to 18 supported languages.
- Translation Consistency: Standardized translation keys, placeholders, and language validation across all supported languages.
- MOTD Improvements: Improved
{online}and{max}placeholder handling, Unicode support, UTF-8 encoding, control-character sanitization, and oversized MOTD handling. - Command Improvements: Improved validation, autocomplete, permissions, runtime configuration commands, and administrative feedback.
- Status Command: Expanded
/blb statuswith runtime information such as active interfaces, advertised port, multicast destination, broadcast statistics, and last broadcast information. - Debug Logging: Improved debug logging and added rate limiting to prevent excessive console output during frequent broadcasts.
- Performance: Reduced unnecessary allocations, repeated interface discovery, configuration lookups, and resource creation during the broadcast loop.
- Error Handling: Improved handling of socket failures, unavailable interfaces, runtime reconfiguration errors, and invalid configuration values.
- Build System: Improved Maven configuration for Java 21, Velocity, Configurate, bStats, dependency shading, and relocation.
- bStats: Preserved and updated bStats integration for the Velocity implementation.
- Compatibility: Improved compatibility with Windows, Linux, VPNs, and virtual network adapters while retaining the original multicast discovery mechanism.
- Protocol Preservation: Minecraft's LAN discovery protocol remains unchanged:
224.0.2.60:4445, TTL1, and[MOTD]...[/MOTD][AD]PORT[/AD].

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
