BetterLiveAnnounce was developed to strengthen community engagement on your Minecraft server by providing streamers and content creators with an official, spam-proof tool to draw attention to their livestreams.
Core Features:
Multi-Platform Support: The plugin natively supports the most popular streaming platforms: Twitch, YouTube, and TikTok. Direct links to the respective channels are automatically generated based on the player's configured username.
Player-Specific Settings: Each streamer can manage their own profile. This includes selecting the platform type, entering their channel name, and adding a short description of what is happening on stream (the "doing", e.g., "Playing Survival" or "Building a massive base").
Spam Protection (Cooldown System): Nobody likes chat spam. That is why the /live promote command features an adjustable cooldown (defaulting to 10 minutes). This keeps the chat clean and makes announcements feel more exclusive.
Player Opt-Out (/mutelive): Not every player wants to read stream announcements in the chat. With the simple /mutelive command, any user can individually choose whether they want to see live broadcast messages. Executing the command again easily toggles the messages back on.
Fully Configurable: All chat messages, prefixes, and item names for the GUI can be easily customized via the config.yml to perfectly match your server network's branding. You can also add your custom blocked words!
Commands:
/live - Opens the setup menu/settings for your livestream.
/live promote - Broadcasts your live announcement in the server chat (provided the cooldown has expired).
/mutelive - Toggles livestream announcements on or off for the executing player. Permissions:
betterliveannounce.use – Allows access to the basic /live configuration menu.
betterliveannounce.promote – Allows players to announce their livestreams in chat (should typically be granted to Content Creators or specific ranks).
betterliveannounce.mutelive – Allows players to mute announcements (enabled by default for all players).
