BetterMob 1.1.5
Adds factions, working auras, a debug system and a much larger set of skill mechanics and targeters. The code is also reorganised into feature packages (no change for users or for the public API).
Added
- Factions:
Faction:in a mob file. Mobs of the same faction never target or hurt each other (also through arrows and skills). Newfaction{faction=A,B}condition. Players can join a faction with the permissionbettermob.faction.<name>or afactions:list inconfig.yml. - Aura effects: auras now run
oS(start),oE(end),oT(everyiticks) andoH(when the aura's event happens).cE=truecancels that event while the aura is active. - Debug system:
Debug: off|info|verboseinconfig.ymland/bettermob debug [off|info|verbose|filter <id>|filter clear|chat]. Logs triggers, skill runs (and why they stopped), mechanics, missing AI goals and bone offsets. Costs nothing while off. shoot: projectile typesarrow,spectral_arrow,trident,snowball,egg,fireball,smallfireball, plusspread, gravityand the hooksoh,oe,ot.totem:md(duration),i(interval),ot(every tick),oe(at the end) andoh(when hit, through an invisible body).- New mechanics:
velocity(SET/ADD/MULTIPLY/DIVIDE,repeat),freeze,bodyrotation(BetterModel head/body limits), andstunoptionsai,g,f,state(model animation). - New targeters:
@Caster,@Mob,@Origin,@Location,@TargetLocation,@Owner/@Parent,@LivingEntitiesInRadius,@PlayersInRadius. All multi-target targeters takelimitandsort. New conditionsisMobandhasTag. - Release notes of dev builds and releases list every commit since the last release.
- Issue templates for bug reports, feature requests and pack compatibility.
Fixed
- Particle
repeatnow works for location targets such as@ModelPartand follows the moving bone - An unknown targeter is reported once instead of silently targeting the default
Changed
@PIRkeeps its behaviour (nearest player) and is now a@PlayersInRadiuswithlimit1- Source code sorted into packages (
mob, skill,ai,model, drop, item, pack, command, service, util); class names, the plugin main class and theapipackage are unchanged
Known limits
@Owneronly works for mobs created withsummonshootspeed and damage are estimates compared to MythicMobs- Model attach is not part of the debug log
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
