Changes
BiomeAnnouncer 2.0.0
A full rewrite. Your 1.3 config is upgraded automatically (a backup is kept).
New
- Added Folia support
- Added support for 1.21.x and 26.x (Paper)
- Added real biome names for custom world generators (Terralith, Incendium, Nullscape, Tectonic, Continents, WWOO, Amplified Nether and other datapacks)
- Added Terra and Iris support
- Added a placeholder biome source for any other generator, per world
- Added cave biome detection (biome is read at your exact height)
- Added announce modes: every biome, new biomes only ("New biome discovered!"), or none
- Added discovered biomes, saved per player (
/ba discovered) - Added title, action bar, chat and boss bar channels next to the subtitle
- Added fade, instant and gradient-sweep animations next to the typewriter
- Added biomes.yml: rename, recolour, hide or group any biome, with per-biome sounds and lines
- Added a namespace pattern (e.g.
terralith:*) to style a whole mod at once - Added biome names in each player's own game language
- Added a settle time so walking along a border doesn't spam announcements
- Added triggers for join, respawn, world change and teleport
- Added per-world settings and a world whitelist/blacklist
- Added WorldGuard region support: no announcements in chosen regions (
/ba region) - Added lang.yml with every message editable (MiniMessage and
&codes) - Added
/ba mode,/ba channels,/ba current,/ba test,/ba debug,/ba dump,/ba reload - Added
/baas a short alias (configurable) - Added placeholders for the biome, key, mode, discovered count and more
- Added SQLite storage (default) with YAML as an option
- Added automatic config updates that keep your values and comments
Fixed
- Fixed datapack and cave biomes showing the wrong name
- Fixed
/togglebiomeannouncernot being saved after a restart - Fixed the cooldown announcing a biome you had already left
- Fixed announcements overlapping when crossing biomes quickly
- Fixed the update check being able to hold up the server
Changed
- Much lighter: players are only checked after moving to a new block, and nothing touches files or the network on the game thread
/togglebiomeannouncerstill works
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
