β‘ BPREFIX v1.1.1 β Developer API Update & Performance Enhancements
This update introduces a fully integrated Developer API, allowing other plugins and developers to seamlessly interact with BPREFIX, manage player prefixes programmatically, and build custom expansions.
β¨ What's New?
- π οΈ New Developer API (
BPrefixAPI):- Easily fetch, set, or manage player prefixes from external plugins.
- Fully supports cross-platform UUID mapping (Bedrock/Floodgate synchronization out of the box).
- β³ Temporary Prefix Support:
- Added API methods to assign time-limited prefixes (e.g., for rewards, events, or minigames) that automatically expire.
- β‘ Performance & Stability:
- Optimized asynchronous permission and unlock checks (
CompletableFuture). - Enhanced thread-safety for multi-threaded environments (Folia & high-performance Paper setups).
- Optimized asynchronous permission and unlock checks (

π¦ Installation for Developers
To use the BPREFIX API in your project, add the JitPack repository and the dependency to your build file:
π Gradle (build.gradle)
repositories {
maven { url '[https://jitpack.io](https://jitpack.io)' }
}
dependencies {
implementation 'com.github.benyt9:BPREFIX:1.1.1'
}
β‘ Gradle Kotlin DSL (build.gradle.kts)
repositories {
maven(url = "[https://jitpack.io](https://jitpack.io)")
}
dependencies {
implementation("com.github.benyt9:BPREFIX:1.1.1")
}
π¦ Maven (pom.xml)
<repositories>
<repository>
<id>jitpack.io</id>
<url>[https://jitpack.io](https://jitpack.io)</url>
</repository>
</repositories>
<dependency>
<groupId>com.github.benyt9</groupId>
<artifactId>BPREFIX</artifactId>
<version>1.1.1</version>
</dependency>
You can now easily access the API instance in your plugins:
// Get the API instance
BPrefixAPI api = BPrefixAPI.getInstance();
// Get a player's active prefix
String activePrefix = api.getActivePrefix(player);
// Set a prefix programmatically
api.setActivePrefix(player.getUniqueId(), "vip");
Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
