π¦ CarryOnPaper v1.0.1 Update
A new CarryOnPaper update is here! π Version 1.0.1 is a cleaner and more stable update focused on safer public-server defaults, improved configuration handling, better plugin metadata, and a more polished Carry On experience for Paper servers.
This update is recommended for all Paper servers using CarryOnPaper.
β¨ Whatβs New?
π‘οΈ Safer Public Server Defaults
CarryOnPaper now uses a safer default setup for block carrying.
Changed default:
blocks.allow-all: false
In earlier builds, carrying all normal blocks could be enabled too broadly by default. With this update, only configured whitelist blocks are carryable by default.
This is much better for public servers because players can only carry the blocks you explicitly allow.
π¦ Whitelist-Based Block Carrying
CarryOnPaper now starts with a clean whitelist setup for useful blocks.
Default carryable blocks include:
β Chests β Trapped Chests β Barrels β Furnaces β Blast Furnaces β Smokers β Droppers β Dispensers β Hoppers β Brewing Stands β Crafting Tables β Jukeboxes β Lecterns β Chiseled Bookshelves
This keeps the plugin useful while preventing players from carrying every block on the server.
π Safe Inventory Preservation
Container inventories can still be preserved when moving blocks.
If enabled, CarryOnPaper safely stores and restores inventories for supported container blocks.
This is useful for SMP, survival, and roleplay servers where players want to move storage or utility blocks without losing contents.
πΎ Entity Carrying Improvements
CarryOnPaper includes a large configurable entity whitelist.
Players can carry configured mobs using the normal Carry On interaction:
Sneak + Right Click
The entity system supports:
π Passive mobs πΊ Tameable mobs π΄ Rideable mobs π§βπΎ Villagers π’ Animals πΎ Many normal 1.21.11 entities
Dangerous or oversized mobs are blocked through the blacklist by default.
π§βπΎ Villager & Trader Data Support
CarryOnPaper can preserve important mob data where possible.
This includes support for:
π§βπΎ Villager data π Wandering Trader trades π¦ Bukkit MerchantRecipe trade data β€οΈ Basic mob data
This makes carrying villagers and traders much more useful for survival servers.
βοΈ Config Update
The config version has been updated to:
config-version: 6
The config is now clearer and more public-server friendly.
Important config options include:
βοΈ Sneak requirement ποΈ Empty-hand requirement π¦ Block whitelist π« Block blacklist πΎ Entity whitelist π« Entity blacklist π Inventory preservation π Carry speed modifier π¦ Multiple carried objects π Carrier storage protection π¨ MiniMessage / Legacy message format π Language selection π Sound configuration
π¬ Cleaner Plugin Information
The internal plugin description has been cleaned up to better explain what CarryOnPaper does.
CarryOnPaper is now described as a polished Carry On-style plugin for Paper that lets players safely move configured blocks and mobs while preserving inventories, villager trades, sounds, languages, and server-friendly controls.
π Sounds & Languages
CarryOnPaper still includes configurable sounds and multiple language files.
Included languages:
πΊπΈ English π©πͺ German πͺπΈ Spanish π«π· French
The sound system supports feedback for:
π¦ Picking up blocks π¦ Placing blocks πΎ Picking up mobs πΎ Placing mobs β No permission β οΈ Cannot carry π Reload π Language changes
π οΈ Fixes & Cleanup
This update also includes internal cleanup and stability work.
Improved areas include:
π Safer default settings π Cleaner config migration π Removed old internal leftovers π Better public-server behavior π Cleaner plugin metadata π General Carry On system cleanup
β οΈ Important Update Note
If you update from an older version, check your config.
For most public servers, this is recommended:
blocks.allow-all: false
If you want players to carry every normal block like before, manually set:
blocks.allow-all: true
β Summary
CarryOnPaper v1.0.1 includes:
π‘οΈ Safer public-server defaults π¦ Whitelist-based block carrying by default π Safe inventory preservation πΎ Configurable mob carrying π§βπΎ Villager and trader data support βοΈ Updated config version π¬ Cleaner plugin metadata π Configurable sounds π Multi-language support π οΈ Internal fixes and cleanup
CarryOnPaper is now cleaner, safer, and better prepared for real Paper servers.

Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
