Changes
First release of ChatColor3, a community fork of Sulphate's ChatColor2 rebuilt for modern Paper servers.
What's in this release:
- Full Paper 26.2 support (Java 21, Adventure text API, AsyncChatEvent)
- All the original features: legacy colours, hex, rainbow, gradients, modifiers, custom colours, group colours
- GUI colour picker with configurable layout
- MySQL and MariaDB storage alongside the default YAML storage
- PlaceholderAPI placeholders
- Tab completions for all commands and arguments
- Named colours now work in rainbow and gradient commands (for example /chatcolor &g[red, blue])
- Clearer console messaging when running player-only commands from the server console
This version drops support for Minecraft 1.20 and older. If you need those versions, stick with the original ChatColor2.
Optional dependencies
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
