HOW IT WORKS
- A player (or an admin via command) obtains a Lock.
- Right-click a chest → the chest gets locked and bound to the player (owner). The Lock item is consumed.
- Only the owner (and admins with
chestlock.bypass) can freely open the chest. - Other players see a "chest locked" message and cannot open it, break it, or move it with pistons or explosions.
- The owner can create Key copies bound to that chest: shift + right-click the locked chest while holding an "unbound" Key → the key becomes bound. Anyone holding that key can open the chest even without being the owner.
- The owner can unlock the chest: shift + right-click with an empty hand on the locked chest → the chest unlocks and the Lock item returns to their inventory.
Two crafting recipes are also included (can be disabled in config.yml).
COMMANDS
/chestlock give lock <player> [amount]— Gives the Lock item/chestlock give key <player> [amount]— Gives an unbound Key/chestlock reload— Reloads config.yml/chestlock help
PERMISSIONS

Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
