Changes
1.4.0
This one is mostly about keeping the plugin working on newer Paper, plus a bunch of bug fixes I found while going through the code again. Please update, a couple of these were exploitable.
Supported versions
Paper 1.21 up to 1.21.11, and 26.2. I tested it in-game on 1.21.1 and 26.2. 26.1 will most likely work too but I haven't tried it yet.
Translations
- Every message, title, action bar and GUI text now lives in a language file. English is
lang/en.ymland there's Indonesian too (lang/id.yml). Switch withsettings.languagein config.yml. - Want another language? Copy en.yml to something like
lang/es.yml, translate it and setlanguage: es. Anything you leave out falls back to English. - Set a message to
""if you don't want it sent at all. - Item names in reward messages show up in each player's own game language.
- Tiers can have a
display-namein rewards.yml, so RARE can show up as whatever you want. - Gift name/lore and combo names are still in config.yml like before.
Security / dupes
- Regular players could mess with the rewards through a fake admin menu. That's closed now, the menus check permissions properly.
- Fixed an off-hand dupe. Opening a gift from your off-hand could eat the item in your main hand and leave the gift there, so you could keep opening it forever.
- New gifts have a hidden tag, so people can't make fake ones with a rename plugin anymore.
Fixes
- Tiers you added from the GUI never gave anything.
- If you logged out, died or the server restarted while a gift was opening, the reward was just gone. Now it gets saved and you receive it next time you join.
- Combo multiplier now comes from the gift you actually opened, not from whatever combo you had a few seconds later.
skills xp add %player% all <amount>finally works (it goes through the skills inauraskills.enabled-skills).broadcast-rewardsand theeffectsoptions in config.yml were being ignored.- Reward names and amounts were wrong for some commands (experience bottles, decimal eco amounts,
xp add ... levels). - The rewards editor broke if a tier had more than 28 rewards. It has pages now.
/cgift givewith a full inventory just deleted the gifts. Now they drop on the ground./cgift give 1 Stecould end up giving to "Steve". It needs the exact name now.- Adding a tier with a name that already exists wiped that tier.
- The chance input accepted negative numbers.
- Gifts could be used in crafting or put on a donkey/llama.
- rewards.yml got overwritten on shutdown, so anything you edited by hand while the server was running was lost.
Small stuff
- Tab complete for /cgift
- You can type
cancel(or the cancel word from your language file) when the GUI asks you to type something in chat - The GUI shows the real drop % of each tier
- Console warns you when a reward command doesn't exist (useful if AuraSkills or Essentials isn't installed)
Config
- New option
settings.language(defaulten). - New option
gift.accept-legacy-items(default true). Gifts from older versions keep working with it on. Once your players have used up the old ones you can turn it off. Old and new gifts won't stack together. broadcast-formatmoved to the language file asreward.broadcast. If you had changed it in config.yml, yours is still used. If it was the default, it gets removed from config.yml on its own.- Removed
advanced.async-commandsandadvanced.cache-tiers, they never did anything.
Your config is kept and new options get added on their own. Just swap the jar and restart (don't use /reload).
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
