Changelog
1.3.0
Added
- Working Folia support: every task now goes through the right scheduler (entity, global region or async)
- TAB 6 support next to the old TAB 4/5 API. The plugin picks the right one on its own, and also picks it up again on /ctsn reload if TAB was installed later
- actionbar-duration-seconds setting: how long the revealed name stays on screen. 0 means the vanilla default of about 2 seconds
- PlaceholderAPI placeholders %ctsn_mode% and %ctsn_hidden% next to the existing %ctsn_color% and %ctsn_formatted_name%
- bStats metrics, bundled with shadow and relocated so it cannot clash with other plugins
- Update checker against Modrinth, warning in the console when a newer version is out (turn off with update-checker: false)
- Player data is now saved right after a player quits, not just on the 5 minute autosave, so a crash can no longer eat recent changes
- The TAB warning text now matches the TAB 6 config: invisible-nametags instead of the removed unlimited-nametag-mode
Fixed
- The plugin failed to enable on Paper 1.21.3 and newer because Sound is no longer an enum there. Sounds are resolved through the new API with a fallback for older versions
- Gradients picked in the GUI never actually applied: the plugin stored color names where only HEX is valid. Names are converted to HEX now, and old broken entries in playerdata.yml are cleaned up on load
- Gradients were available to every player because ctsn.color.* (default true) silently unlocked them. Only ctsn.gradient unlocks them now
- The GUI let players pick any color with just the base ctsn.color permission, while the command required per color permissions. Command and GUI now use the same rules
- While waiting for a HEX color in chat, any normal message got swallowed within 60 seconds. Now only an actual HEX code is consumed, anything else goes to chat as usual
- On Folia, scoreboard team changes from different region threads could race each other. Team operations run on the global scheduler now
- Items could be dragged into the settings GUI. Dragging is cancelled now
- A startup race where TAB enabled after this plugin left the TAB hook silently dead until the next restart. Load order is pinned with softdepend and the TAB API instance is resolved lazily
- PlaceholderAPI was detected even when installed but disabled, which could fail expansion registration
Changed
- Honest minimum version: Paper 1.18.2. The plugin needs the MiniMessage that Paper bundles from 1.18.2, so the old api-version 1.17 never really worked
- The jar is built with shadow: only bStats goes inside, relocated into the plugin's own package
- Permission checks are unified between the command and the GUI
- Event handlers no longer use MONITOR priority for things that change state
- plugin.yml version comes from the Gradle build now, so jar and plugin.yml can no longer drift apart
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
