š CraftersBan v2.1
CraftersBan v2.1 brings a significant architectural overhaul aimed at improving performance, scalability, and the administrator experience. This update focuses on intelligent command processing, fully unified punishment tracking, and robust cross-platform text formatting, ensuring zero performance impact on high-traffic networks.
⨠Key Features & Improvements
- š§ Intelligent Command Unification The entire punishment command structure has been streamlined for maximum efficiency. The system now features a smart parser that automatically distinguishes between duration arguments and reasoning. Obsolete "temp" commands have been removed entirely in favor of a unified system.
- šļø Native Database ID Isolation The internal tracking of punishments has been architecturally split. Temporary and permanent actions now inherently use completely isolated identification pools, ensuring pristine sequential tracking for audits and scalability.
- šØ Advanced Formatting Engine The core text processor has been upgraded to natively support and seamlessly convert multiple aesthetic formats simultaneously. Administrators can now mix legacy color codes, modern Hex combinations, gradients, external forum tags (BBCode), and raw JSON objects without breaking the server connection.
- ā±ļø Dynamic Duration Injection Punishment notifications now dynamically inject precisely calculated duration formatting based on whether the action is temporary or permanent, directly in their notification messages.
- ā” Zero-Impact Asynchronous Architecture All heavy data operations, including lookups and punishment registrations, have been offloaded to dedicated background threads to preserve flawless gameplay.
- š”ļø Silent Configuration Fallbacks & Fixes The configuration core has been hardened to inject default values silently into memory when outdated configurations are detected, preventing harmless missing keys from generating unnecessary warning spam in the server console. Geolocation mapping has also been perfected.
š Modernized Command Reference
The command suite has been purified. All commands are smart and automatically adapt based on your input:
/ban [-s] <player> [duration] [reason]ā Bans a player/ipban [-s] <player|IP> [duration] [reason]ā IP bans a connection/mute [-s] <player> [duration] [reason]ā Mutes a player/ipmute [-s] <player|IP> [duration] [reason]ā IP mutes a connection/warn [-s] <player> [duration] [reason]ā Warns a player- (Plus all standard history, unpunish, and administrative commands...)
šļø Upgrade Guidelines
For network administrators upgrading to v2.1:
- Ensure the server is completely shut down.
- Create a full backup of your existing plugin directory.
- Deploy the new plugin version.
- Relocate or archive the old configuration files to allow the system to generate the new, modernized architecture templates upon startup.
- Manually transfer your preferred customizations into the newly generated templates.
ā ļø IMPORTANT NOTICE! To install version v2.1, you must delete the craftersban.db file (or empty your SQL tables) so that the new independent ID system is generated cleanly from scratch.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
