DeathNote 1.0.0 β Update Log
π Core Mechanic
β’ Writing a player's exact name on the first line of the notebook kills them after 40 seconds (configurable) with a default cause of heart attack.
β’ You can add a custom cause and further detail text on later lines, within separate time windows (40s to set the cause, 400s to add detail) β mirroring the anime's rules.
β’ Requires you to have previously met/interacted with the target β you can't write a name you've never encountered.
β’ require-face exists as a config toggle for a stricter "must see their face" rule, though it's off by default.
π‘οΈ Immunity
β’ deathnote.immune permission protects specific players from being written into the notebook entirely.
π¨ Item
β’ The notebook is a custom-model-data writable book (mapped for a resource pack to look like the classic black Death Note).
βοΈ Commands
β’ /deathnote (or /dn) <give|reload|rules> β admin-focused: giving out notebooks, reloading config, and displaying the rules to players.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
