⚡ eGens v1.0.1 — Minecraft 26.x & Java 25 Compatibility, Unified Configs & Core Bug Fixes!
We are excited to release eGens v1.0.1! This update brings full native support for Minecraft 26.1.2 – 26.2 running on Java 25, completely re-architects generator configurations into clean single-file YAMLs, and resolves several critical gameplay & economy bugs.
🌟 Key Highlights
☕ Java 25 & Minecraft 26.1.2 – 26.2 Ready
- Built and optimized for Java 25 and Paper / Purpur / Folia 26.1.2 – 26.2.
- Full multi-threaded region scheduling support for Folia out of the box.
📁 1 YAML File Per Generator (Unified Configs)
- No more navigating separate
chains.ymlanddrops.yml! - Each generator now has its own standalone file under
plugins/eGens/generators/<name>_generator.ymlcontaining both the generator's stats (durability, tick-interval, price, upgrade tiers) and its custom drop definitions with MiniMessage gradients, lores, and sell prices. - 28 bundled generator files ready out-of-the-box (
wood,stone,iron,diamond,netherite,air,ice,lightning,wither, etc.).
🛠️ Bug Fixes & Quality of Life Improvements
⚡ Dynamic Tick Rescheduling on Tier Promotion
- Fixed: When upgrading a generator (e.g., from Air Generator to Ice Generator), the generator previously retained the old tier's
tick-intervaltask. - Now: Upgrading a generator immediately unregisters the old timer and reschedules the new tier's
tick-intervaldynamically. - Running
/egens reloadalso guarantees all active generators on the server synchronize with your latest YAML edits.
🔮 Hologram & Skin Persistence Across Restarts & Unloads
- Fixed: Holograms and corrupted block skins disappeared after server restarts or when chunks were unloaded.
- Now: Added
GeneratorChunkListenerwhich automatically re-spawns TextDisplay holograms and applies corrupted skins the instant a chunk is loaded into memory. Also guarantees generator tick registration for late-loaded worlds (Multiverse, SlimeWorldManager).
🛡️ Complete Anti-Abuse Lock for Generator Drops
- Fixed: Drop items (such as Ice, Ores, Player Heads, Membrane) could previously be placed as blocks, crafted into vanilla items, brewed in brewing stands, smelted in furnaces, or fed to animals.
- Now: All generator drop items (
egens:drop_id) are strictly locked down:- ❌ Cannot be placed on the ground as blocks.
- ❌ Cannot be crafted in crafting tables or 2x2 grids.
- ❌ Cannot be brewed in Brewing Stands.
- ❌ Cannot be used as furnace smelting items or fuel.
- ❌ Cannot be enchanted, combined in anvils, or fed to entities.
- ❌ Cannot be placed into utility workstations (Grindstone, Smithing Table, Composter, etc.).
- ✔️ Can be stored safely in chests, barrels, and hoppers.
- ✔️ Can be sold via
/sell,/egens sell,/sell all, and sellwands!
🚫 Generator Obstruction Protection
- Players can no longer place any block directly above an active generator, preventing obstruction of floating holograms and item drop paths.
🖥️ Fresh GUI Re-open on Promotion
- When promoting a generator to the next tier in the GUI, the window now re-opens fresh with the new tier's MiniMessage title, updated block texture, and live stats.
- Simplified durability display in GUI from
140 / 140to clean140.
💬 Subcommand Integrations
- Fully registered
/egens upgradeand/egens repaircommands, linking them with real-time hologram and block skin updates.
📥 Updating from v1.0.0
- Stop your server.
- Replace
egens-1.0.0.jarwithegens-1.0.1.jarin yourplugins/directory. - Start your server. Enjoy!
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
