โก FastChunks 1.2.0 - High-Speed Elytra Stream & TPS Protection
This major update addresses the #1 problem reported by server owners: chunk loading freezes during Elytra flight and world generation lag spikes under low TPS.
๐ What's New in v1.2.0:
- ๐ชฝ Elytra Highway Stream Mode:
- Automatically predicts forward movement vectors for players gliding with Elytra or riding high-speed vehicles.
- Dynamically projects chunk loading lookaheads ahead of travel trajectory, completely eliminating invisible chunk walls.
- ๐ก๏ธ Dynamic TPS Safety Throttle:
- Automatically protects your server from crashes and tick cascades.
- If TPS drops below 18.0, generation of ungenerated chunks is temporarily suspended while existing chunks load smoothly.
- ๐ฅ๏ธ In-Game Control Panel ( or ):
- Live metric monitoring: Async Queue Size, In-Flight Tasks, Allocated RAM, Server TPS, and Avg Chunk Completion time.
- 1-Click Profile Switching: Safe (low-spec), Balanced (standard SMP), and Aggressive (dedicated high-performance).
- Quick toggles for Elytra Stream and boundary particles.
- โก Modern Paper & Java 21-25 Full Compatibility:
- Fully tested on Paper 1.20 through Paper 26.3 with Adoptium Temurin Java 25.
Projects on Modrinth are automatically available through a Maven repository for use with JVM build tools such as Gradle. To learn more about the Modrinth Maven API, click here.
Note: When available, you should use the creator's maven repo instead as it will have transitive dependency information that the Modrinth Maven API does not. You may also end up with duplicate dependencies if you use a mix of Modrinth and non-Modrinth Maven repositories for your dependencies, because the group identifier will be different when served through the Modrinth Maven API.
